Another reason our Professional Staff Enterprise Agreement is important

The history of conditions and who achieved these within our Enterprise Agreements can become forgotten as the years roll by.

The year is 2004 and across the university sector the CPSU Professional Staff Union and its members had been working hard to achieve some wonderful outcomes for its membership.

AT UTS

"Members have voted to accept a new agreement that improves job security, the management of change and redundancy payments, increases parental leave to 20 weeks along with two weeks paid partner leave. The agreement contains a cumulative pay rise of over 20.5% in just over three years, $4000 for career development after return from maternity leave and a casual conversion clause."

The conversion clause is not available to Academic Staff in their EA and is unique to the EA for Professional Staff.
